HTF SYSTEM IN CSP PLANTS COURSE

A CSP is basically form by four systems separated and joined among them: capturing radiation system (solar field), heat thermal fluid (HTF), energy storage system and power block. The thermal oil transfers the energy collected by the Parabolic Cylinder Collectors to the power block, through two heat exchangers trains. The steam created in these exchangers is used in the steam turbine in order to create mechanical rotation energy, which will be transformed into electric energy in the generator. The heat thermal fluid (HTF) is hence the circulatory system which links the heat captured with the electric energy produced. Because the functioning of the system and the own characteristics of the thermal fluid there are need a set of auxiliary systems: pump system, replenishment system, filtering system, frost protection system, and others.

COURSE INFORMATION

Type of course: On-site course, based in a presentation developed with the help of programmes like Power Point. Available as blended or distance learning course..

Duration: About the on-site method, the course could last between 16 and 40 hours, depending on the main objectives intended to the course. In the on-line method, the course is 50 hours long. 

Course level: Medium. It is assumed that the participants have previous knowledge in industrial installations.
