WATER-STEAM CYCLE IN CSP PLANTS COURSE 

The water-steam cycle is a system which transfers the heat from the boiler or exchanger to the steam turbine, and later on the heat condensates in order to go back to the equipment, providing heat and closing the cycle. The course reviews the Rankine cycle, clarifies the concepts related to steam (overheated steam, saturated steam, saturated liquid, over heated steam, dry saturated steam, etc), details each one of the equipment involved (boilers, exchangers, pumps, degassers, condensers), explains the chemical treatment needed in the cycle to avoid corrosion and incrustations problems and explains the operation and maintenance of this important system.

COURSE INFORMATION

Type of course: On-site course, based in a presentation developed with the help of programmes like Power Point. Also available as online course.

Duration: About the on-site method, the course could last between 16 and 40 hours, depending on the main objectives intended to the course. In the on-line method, the course is 50 hours long. 

Course level: Medium. It is assumed that the participants have previous knowledge in industrial installations.
