The CSP plants operation course is a course addressed to professionals who work or are working to the exploitation of CSP plants with CCP technology. The course studies the optimisation of the operation, on the one hand looking for an improvement in production, and on the other hand, looking for the reduction of energy and fuels expense.
The course analyses the operation objectives of the plant, the appropriate organigram is studied in order to approach it. The course deepens on operation modes, (in cold, warm and hot start-up) and the hybrid operating modes with auxiliary thermal oil heater and thermal storage system. The course studies the efficiency of a solar field, of HTF and of the water-steam cycle. It includes a detailed analysis of energy balance, at different charges and with a deep study of the auxiliary systems operation.
In addition, the courses studies certain economical aspects of the operation, detailing costs, budgets and an optimisation analysis of the operation costs, in order to focus on incomes and on every aspect to consider that may increase production.
